Stacey Savard, Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, Vital Roots Wellness
ND, BSc in Exercise and Health Physiology, C Ped (c) – Pedorthist

Stacey Savard completed her doctor of naturopathic medicine in Toronto at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, a 4 year post-graduate degree.  She’s had a passion for health and wellness since childhood, which provided a clear path for her post-secondary studies where she focused on the human body, gaining a BSc in Exercise and Health Physiology from the University of Calgary.  Following graduation, she completed her training in pedorthics through the Pedorthics College of Canada gaining certification in assessing the biomechanics of the lower limb and creating custom foot orthotics for individuals in need.  Working full time in the pedorthic industry for five years stimulated an interested of how to offer more for her patients and while pursuing a diploma in Equine Therapy (holistic medicine for horses), she discovered the discipline of naturopathic medicine and quickly gained a passion for the profession.

Dr. Savard runs a family practice encompassing a multitude of modalities in patient care.  Dr. Savard works with patients of all populations with a special interest in chronic pain such as fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome, women’s health including fertility, prenatal and postpartum care, and pediatrics.  Stacey  is passionate about working with each patient to find the root cause, treating each patient as an individual and humbled by what each patient has to teach her.  She is continuously looking to grow as a practitioner and finds the best teachers are her patients, valuing the importance in treating each patient as their own entity.  She believes knowledge is powerful and is committed to providing her patients with as much education as possible to help each of them make informed choices about their health.

Stacey’s outside interests include a fondness for  the outdoors; whether playing with her two horses, finding a new hiking or running trail, paddling out on the water or just sitting on the beach, she is thrilled to be back living in Campbell River, which allows her to experience all these things in excess.  She is a dedicated yogi and finds it rewarding to share in her yogic affection by teaching a few classes a week.
